Our Code Of Ethics

1 - Respect for the needs and independence of clients


Financial Mentors show empathy and understanding when assisting families to budget for their own needs and lifestyle, respecting their choices and their right to withdraw from budgeting at any time.  Support and advice is offered without prejudice.

  

2 - Assistance without discrimination


Financial Mentors maintain a non-judgemental, accepting attitude to all, regardless of sex, age, race, religion or lifestyle.  Financial Mentors do not attempt to impose values of their own.



3 - Total confidentiality, which is never breached


Financial Mentors maintain total confidentiality in all matters.  Before discussing details with creditors, court officials, agencies or any third party, Financial Mentors first obtain permission from the client family according to the provisions of the Privacy Act 1993.

  

4 - An environment of co-operation and accountability


Financial Mentors display reliability, integrity and accountability, working as representatives of CHB Budget Service when communicating with individuals, families, creditors, or any other people.


 5 - Operations that reflect Te Tiriti O Waitangi


Financial Mentors accept that Te Tiriti O Waitangi (The Treaty of Waitangi) is fundamental to the operations of CHB Budget Service and they reflect this in the way they recognise each person’s uniqueness and offer the client family choices.

  

6 - Ongoing training, support and supervision for all staff


Financial Mentors accept initial and ongoing training.  Resources, support and supervision offered by CHB Budget Service is necessary to maintain standards of budgeting.

Covid10 Vaccination Policy

We value all our clients irrespective of your personal choices. Our aim is to keep all our clients, staff and their families safe.

As we have 2 staff with Immuno Compromised family members we have made the decision that as from the 1st of January 2022 we will only see Covid Vaccinated clients face to face. If you are not vaccinated we are happy to do consultations either by phone or email. Please advise your financial mentor if you require this service.

​

Please don't be offended if you are asked your vaccination status when you make an appointment.  

​

Clients will need to sign in with their Vaccine Pass.  

​

If you need help to access the vaccine please ask.
